Operetta: St. George and the Dragon
This 25-minute operetta describes the story of the famous legend. The music is composed by John Laing, and the libretto by John and Gillian Ferns.

There is a chorus of townsfolk, who provide narration and comment upon the action, and an accompaniment of piano and drum. The music comprises choruses, recitatives, arias and ensembles (even accompanies sword fights!), and there are occasions when the audience joins the chorus in the singing of hymns.
